Solar PV On Student Accommodation in Fallowfield.
Atlantic Renewables installed Solar PV systems on 6 property's in the Fallowfield area, all of which were owned by one Landlord, giving the Landlord another form of Income. Three of the property's had Winaico 250W Solar Panels with the remainder 3 property's having Jinko 265W Solar Panels. The Jinko solar panels have built in optimizer's, which will help reduce power loss from panel to panel. These 3 houses all had Solar Edge Inverters, with the optional Zigbee Kit. This piece of Kit attaches to the inverter and communicates to the router, allowing the customer to view and monitor their generation online. The remaining 3 property's had different Inverters due to each house having differing roof space. These Inverters were an ABB, Trannergy and Solis Inverter. One of the houses had a corrugated flat roof so we had to order in specialised mounting equipment. We used heavy duty hangar bolts with thick rubber washers, that when tightened create a seal to prevent leaks. 4 of the property's had slate roofs so we had to use bespoke slate mounting kits from Schletter which involved using aluminium flashing kits. The Landlord also asked for external wall insulation which we were able to install aswell.
