Sale 4kw Pv Install
This week Atlantic Renewables completed a 4kw system, which consisted of 16 x 250w Solar World all black monocrystalline panels, with a SolarEdge Inverter. All 16 panels were mounted on the side elevation of the property. The install was spread over the course of 2 days due to it being a slate roof and us needing to strip part of the roof where the panels would eventually sit. This was so we could screw in the roof hooks and then add an aluminium flashing kit that will cover the hooks and prevent leaks. Once the roof was slated back in, the rails were added along with 16 solar edge optimisers.
These optimisers will increase energy output from the PV system by constantly tracking the maximum power point of each module individually. The optimisers will pair up to the Solar Edge Inverter allowing the customer to monitor each panel. To do this we installed a wi-fi module kit that attaches to the inverter and enables wireless communication to a Wi-Fi router. This then allows the customer to log onto Solar Edge monitoring portal and monitor generation and each panels output.
The customer also opted for an Immersun Device, this device monitors the electricity which is about to be exported to the grid and diverts it to the immersion heater. It then automatically directs any excess generated electricity, not used by the house, to the immersion heater in the hot water cylinder. If the load from the house increases, eg the washing machine is turned on, the immersun will reduce the amount sent to heat water to help you maintain independence from the grid.
