Eccles 4KW Phono Solar PV Installation
This Installation coincided with a re-roof and Dormer Build, so once the roof had been felted and battened we came and attached the mounting equipment. Then we had to wait a few weeks for the roof to be slated and for the Dormer to be built. The System had 8 Panels on the front elevation and the remaining 8 are on the Dormer roof. With the Dormer roof being a flat roof GRP (glass reinforced plastic) we had to order specialised mounting equipment, to prevent leaks. First of all we drilled pilot holes then screwed heavy duty Hangar bolts in with thick rubber washers, that when tightened create a seal to prevent leaks. just to make sure we also added Dektite Flashings, which were glued down using roofing silicone.
The 4KW system consists of 16 x Phono 250W Solar Panels, these are all black Monocrystalline Panels and each one is connected to a Solar Edge Power Optimiser, which will tell the customer how much each panel is generating. The Inverter of choice for this system is a Solar Edge Inverter. The customer opted for a Solar Edge monitoring system which they can view on a mobile device via an app or on a laptop. This has all the information for energy production for the day, month, year and even lifetime.
