Atlantic Renewables installed a 5kw system, which consisted of 20 Solar World 250w all black Monocrystalline panels which took one day to complete. All 20 panels were mounted on one of the farms barns using specialised mounting equipment. We had to firstly pilot drill through the corrugated roof and into the timber below, then we screwed in heavy duty hangar bolts. These bolts had a rubber washer on the bottom, which when tightened form a seal to prevent leaks. An SMA Sunny Boy Inverter was used on this system, which was mounted in the barn. We then had to get the Armored Cable from the inverter to the household, this meant following the contours of the roof and fixing it into place using cable cleats. The customer had very kindly dug out a trench for us, which meant once we had the cable out of the barn we could bury this in the ground leading up to the house.
